TOF was founded in 1948 by Fiorentino Tonati in the Lake Orta area, Novara Province (Piedmont, Italy), where the metal-working tradition goes right back to the 15th century and where one of the most important Italian tap fitting industrial areas has developed.

In the 1950s, TOF was already exporting to the main European countries.

The growing, perfected product range went alongside continuing investments in the most advanced manufacturing process technologies. TOF has been certified ISO 9001 since 1997. New product research and development have always aimed at product reliability and final quality. At present, the company produces beverage and drinks dispensing equipment, laboratory taps and faucets, safety showers and emergency eyewash systems, gas pressure regulators in 8000 sq m where latest generation machinery quarantees top productivity levels.
