Phthisis Inks South Korea Distribution Deal

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Phthisis Diagnostics announced that it has signed on PhileKorea to distribute the firm's products in South Korea.

Phthisis currently offers the E-Sphere Simple NA kit for extracting nucleic acids from various sample types. It plans to eventually sell molecular diagnostics for parasites and fungi and G-Sphere Molecular Standards for laboratory quality control purposes.

"This new agreement with PhileKorea will be an important partnership as we continue to extend our distribution network in Asia and the world," Phthisis Diagnostics President and Chief Science Officer Crystal Icenhour, said in a statement. "A global network will mean faster and more accurate diagnoses for patients everywhere and it will be an important factor in the growth of our company as we can bring products to a wider market."

The new agreement follows recent distribution deals for Asia and Latin America.
