New Distribution Partner in Australia and New Zealand for TAP Biosystems
Offering Easy Access to TAP’s innovative Products and Technical Support
Cambridge, UK: TAP Biosystems, innovative culture systems and consumables for life science applications today announced the appointment of TrendBio Pty Ltd, a company that supplies high quality life science research products. This appointment will provide scientists in Australia and New Zealand with rapid access to, and support of TAP Biosystems’ range of automated bioprocessing and cell processing technologies.
Under the terms of the agreements, TrendBio will exclusively market and support a range of TAP’s market-leading products in Australia and New Zealand. These include ambr™ (automated micro scale bioreactor) which mimics the characteristics of classical bioreactors at micro scale; RAFT™ (3D cell culture system) that generates consistent, reproducible collagen-based 3D cell cultures for drug screening applications, and Fill-It™ (automated dispensing into screw-cap cryovials), which maintains optimum cell quality when processing large batches of cryovials.
For scientists that want to see this innovative technology live, TAP will be exhibiting at the upcoming BioProcessing Network Conference in Melbourne on October 16th-18th at Booth #16. One of TAP’s cell processing specialists, Ian Ransome, will also be giving a presentation entitled: “ambr: an advanced tool for automated optimization of cell culture for biotherapeutics” on Tuesday October 16th at 11.30am -12 noon.
Ian Ransome TAP Biosystems’ Director of Commercial Operations, Asia Pacific said: “We are delighted TrendBio is our distribution partner because the company has an excellent reputation for marketing many leading life science equipment brands in Australia and New Zealand. This means scientists here can be assured of professional support for their systems from a dedicated team of technical sales specialists.”
Ransome added: “We look forward to meeting scientists at the BioProcessing Network Conference and to discussing how all of the products available through TrendBio will help them to enhance the quality of their research, as well as significantly improve the productivity of their bioprocessing or cell-based research and development programmes.”
